- First of all, thank you. I am trying to make this the best site I can. Secondly, the logos for som EPs are making the pages they're on glitch. Such as the Nightlife and Open For Business ones.User:Supuhstar/sig
- Yea, i replied to that elsewhere, hmm... we think the problem lies within the server, not the pics, because all the pics uploaded by me would be like that.
- Do you have any idea how long it will be untill it is fixed? (P.S. Help:Userboxes is affected due to the nightlife logo as well)User:Supuhstar/sig
- Well, we (Sam, Rockerman and Myself) have been talking about a better server, and at the moment we're using the best FREE server we can find. We have spoken about the possibilities of adding a Donate section on the site to fund buying a new server but unfortunately, none of us are 16 yet, though Sam is close. We will have the money as I currently earn about £25 a week so can chip in. Hopefully we can get this sorted very soon. ¡иąтнąи!

You can find the official userboxes here at: Simpedia:Userboxes. Use these as you wish. The Sysop one will not be availiable, obviously, so we will, obviously, place it on newly promoted Sysop pages, ok? ¡иąтнąи!

- The colors in the userboxes are meant to match those of the logos and boxart in said userboxes. Plus, if you look at the Wikipedian userboxes, they are all multicolored, as well. I was merely trying to make Simpedia fit in with the other Wikis. (P.S. Sorry for my outbreak earlier) User:Supuhstar/sig
- I'd have to side with Supuhstar on this, the EP userboxes look fine multicolored. Personally I don't see what your problem is. --EdK (talk) (email) 20:51, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

[comment on this] New Server
We were talking about this earlier but we're quite convinced with doing it now. The server we need costs £90, that's $180 if you're American, I can donate about £20 a week but we need this asap. How much can you donate, and we need a Paypal account. We understand that you can have one and as a Sysop we trust you with the money. The money from Simpedia will have to be used for the server ONLY. At the moment we are also asking Sam, Administrator, because he may have one too. Thanks, ¡иąтнąи!

[comment on this] Thanks for your contributions, just a few points...
Thank you very much for your contributions to the site over the last few weeks, it's great to have people like you on the team. Just a few things I noticed:
- Please change the "My Contributions" section on your userpage as per Official:Attribution - it's against policy to imply that you wrote an article completely, though you may say that you contributed to it, or started it.
- It's probably unfair to protect your userpage, as most users don't have this option, and I think you should probably unprotect it unless you have a very good reason
- Please try and make sure that all your templates fit the site style and color scheme, which can be seen on the Main Page, the Downloads page, and the Help section. I may create a sample page at some point with all the color codes and styles necessary.
- Remember that this isn't Wikipedia - it can be very helpful to steal code and templates from other Wikimedia sites, but quite apart from it being stealing, a lot of the templates don't match this site, and if you do nick any you should modify the colors and styles.
- Please use the official userboxes created by the site developers, rather than making your own which are stolen from Wikipedia and don't fit our color scheme. On Wikipedia it is considered acceptable to create custom userboxes for your page; on this site it is not.
Thanks,
Sam

- Completely agree, you've done great stuff but just read Official:Attribution and then keep going, and thank god someone agrees with me about the Userboxes! The reason I edited your Userpage was to change the Userboxes and to change your so-called contributuons. ¡иąтнąи!

- We can get KeepYourHandsToYourself, in the meantime I think it's OK.

- I'm working on some stuff for this - maybe a template or some such like would be helpful?
- Remember that this isn't Wikipedia - it can be very helpful to steal code and templates from other Wikimedia sites, but quite apart from it being stealing, a lot of the templates don't match this site, and if you do nick any you should modify the colors and styles.

- I think making userboxes is allowed as these would be used by many - on Wikipedia it's common to see user subpages for boxes... anyway, is this a wiki or a site you're allowed to edit bits of? I think the more open this project is, the more comfortable users will feel. If people are hemmed in by an overcomplicated set of rules... it's intimidating. Trust me.

[comment on this] The Download Request
Supuh, you can add that yourself. Just make a page called Download:SMC (Full Name, i forgot lol!) by Sarkissian, then make the page, add pics, then a link to download it, then put , don't worry this is being added to the downloads page when myself and Sam reshuffle it. WHY THE HELL DID U CHANGE THE USERBOXES! THESE ARE NOT TO BE CHANGED, REMEMBER?! THERE ARE UNDER AN OFFICIAL NAMESPACE MEANING IT IS NOT TO BE EDITED UNLESS MAJOR CHANGES NEEDED. THEY ARE NOT TO BE TOUCHED! Oh, who said you could do the palette? No-one? Who said they were the official colours? No-one? We are having a major change to the Mainpage and colours, etc. over the next few days, then most of the Help and Official pages will not need to be done/touched. ¡иąтнąи!

I like you, i really do, I think you do great work for the community but sometimes, i do it to you as well, i know, i get really hacked off with some of the stuff you've done. Please ask us before deciding what the Simpedia colours are, for all you know they could be Pink and Purple when we update the site with a new look these next few weeks. Ok, we hope to be ready for some serious membership numbers soon so to do that we need to work our arses off with things that matter, ok, so userboxes are cool, i love them, but can we focus on some real work for a bit? Sam and I decided yesterday that we should change the Main Page round a bit, move the featured article, actually decide on a few!, decide where to put the banner exchange banner, though it must be on the homepage, decide what links to have on the sidebar and the navbar, and the main page links bar, upload a tonne of new downloads, and it's great that the community here are getting involved, Toxxic signed up, what, 2 days ago, and has already written, and still writing, a full length tutorial on Looking Good. He's also just told me he has some clothing ready to upload! I also got your message about SMC, brilliant! If we could all make more it would be immense! I think that between you and me we can get all the Wanted Pages done by August 1st, that's the date we hope we can have everything done by? Wanna give it a go! If we can contact you by MSN that would be easier as Sam, Ed and Myself user MSN to decide stuff mainly, just email me with it if you can! I want us to get along so can we focus on some real work for a bit? Please?! ¡иąтнąи!

- 1) We are attracting new members by advertising, we need this site up-to-scratch
- 2) Our proposed 'open' date is August 1st, that's on Wednesday...
- 3) We need some active members other than you, me, Ed and Sam.

[comment on this] Please
Supuhstar, please don't use so many templates/includes in your pages and articles. For one thing, it makes the page very difficult to edit, and for another thing, it's a waste of time and space. Having a page called User talk:Supuhstar/talk to put the contents of your talk page on is completely stupid. Also, adding messages to other peoples talk pages in the form of an include, especially when you add it to several talk pages, is ridiculous. It screws up the search system, and it looks ugly in the edit box. It also creates problems when some people add comments to the actual talk page and others add it to the included page. And having the same template on several pages at once creates hundreds of problems, because it decentralises the discussion meaning that you can have different people talking about it in different places at once. So, please clean up this talk page, clean up all the places where you've done any of the things I mentioned above, and in the future please only use includes and templates where they are absolutely necessary, for instance if you wish to add the same (or similar) thing to more than about 2 pages. Thanks, Sam "The Boss"

- Forgot to say - your signature shouldn't be a template either, it should just take up a lot less space. And adding your signature to a page by including your userpage in it is about the most ridiculous idea I have ever seen. Remember, this wiki is a Sims 2 encyclopedia, not a site for Supuhstar to practice wiki editing. And it has nothing at all to do with Wikipedia. --Sam "The Boss"

- About "Also, adding messages to other peoples talk pages in the form of an include, especially when you add it to several talk pages, is ridiculous": That was so that when one edit was made, all would know.
- About cleaning:
- Will do.
- About my siggy:
- I sometimes forget to put the
/sigon the end, and i don't want my page popping up on talkpages instead of my siggy. - It takes up less space on the page to put
than it does to put—<span style="font-family:Neuropol; color:#AA0000;">Supuhstar</span><span style="font-family:Neuropol; color:#AA0000;">*</span>
at the bottom of every page i talk on - I use it as a "shortcut" of sorts to quickly access my name (in that font & color), picture, talk page (* in that font and color), or just the color from the siggy.
- I sometimes forget to put the

- Tell you what, I'll edit that signature, and tell you how long the job queue got. --EdK (talk) (email) 21:02, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- It was 42 jobs, that could be well over a thousand caches invalidated. Slowness. And every time you talk on a new page, that number grows. --EdK (talk) (email) 21:06, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- The annoying "DO NOT POST HERE!!" message is unnecessary - I already knew, I just refuse to obey such a ridiculous system.
- About the first thing - most Wiki editors add discussions they're involved in to their watchlist, and then check that. Having the same discussion on more than one page is, as I said, insane.
- About cleaning:
- You haven't done. It's also patently ridiculous that you moved my messages about your ridiculous page to said ridiculous page, instead of deleting said ridiculous page and moving the messages on said ridiculous page to your talk page, where said messages about said ridiculous page were previously.
- About your 'siggy'
- What is in the edit box doesn't matter - all you have to type is '~~~~' to add your signature, so actually having a template is a waste of time. Since no template could be typed in less than four letters, for the simple reason that the include brackets take up 4 letters already.

[comment on this] Who put you in charge?
The download contests were only to be reinstated under the following conditions.
- 1) Users could upload their downloads to the site
- 2) We have enough views per day + members + new downloads
- 3) The items already on the site need either removing or replacing (so the links work)
- 4) The download section was uncluttered and easier to use (complete)
- 5) At least 2 Developers need to patrol it regularly
As you can see only one is fulfilled. At the moment school is taking over for all of us, we have exams in 4 weeks time... After exams we can definitely have one, I just don't see one occuring in Fall.
To help, go to Sarkissian's MTS2 page and re-download all his creations, upload them somewhere, change the links, also many of Sarkissian's need updating. At the time we were 2 Olympic Swimsuits behind... I was thinking about un-merging them, i.e. separate downloads.
Please help, these need doing first before a Download Contest can be hosted

- 2) How many is "many"? Is that just a matter of oppinion? 'Cause if it is, I think we have enough.
- 3) What's that one all about?
- 4) Okay.
- 5) Not my fault that I'm the only one who seems to care about Simpedia! Maybe IU should be a Dev. (I'm working on that trip to UK.) —Supuhstar*
- 1) We need a bigger paid server really, i suppose external can do for now...
- 2) At least 1000 like when we first released EasyCheat, we need to keep it at that level
- 3) My server where all the files were hosted crashed, so all the items currently on the system either need to be removed or replaced. I suggest removed but then the download section would look minimal
- 4) Agreed
- 5) We care but as I explained we have exams coming up, after exams we will have 4/5 weeks worth of time.
- 6) New - We need to make sure the site can process the edits otherwise it puts people off uploading if it crashes on them.
- 7) New - Don't worry about the trip to the UK unless you want to see around historic York!

It would probably be better if you made a kind of collage of all the objects from the new stuff pack, with much smaller previews, then uploaded it as one image (or maybe two or three). Having hundreds of images floating round the site which are only used on one page for dubious purposes isn't good for the server. Sam "The Boss"

- I thought maybe someone used your name. We do not want you cussing on Simpedia. After all, we want it to be a kid friendly place. It's fine on MSNger, though.—Supuhstar*
- Adult content, Supuhstar, refers to gory or sexually explicit content, not to P-list swearing like "damn". I don't know any kids under 5 who don't cuss (and I mean really cuss), and anyway the adult content policy is there because it's illegal for kids to see some of that kind of stuff. So, yes we want it to be a kid friendly place, but no that doesn't mean no swearing. Since The Sims 2 has a teen rating anyway, we can assume that non-teens will either not be looking at the site, or won't be upset by teen-type words. EdK (email) 10:11, 1 March 2008 (CET)
- Supuhstar, I'd like to point out that you do not have currently permission to edit official pages, and doing so again (as you did to Official:Policy) may result in permanent removal of your admin priveleges. Sam "The Boss"

- Just as a footnote, I've never heard kids in America under 12 swear. —Supuhstar*

- Adult content, Supuhstar, refers to gory or sexually explicit content, not to P-list swearing like "damn". [comment on this] You are the...Most retarded bag of fucking shit that I ever saw. Did you come out ya mum, ya dad or ya dog? Ya dog I think. You are the most fuckwiped person I ever met and you are so retarded that everything you do is shit. I fucking hate you and wish you would just leave. You are so fucking retarded and stuck up your own arse which is why you make so many fucking shit errors. You fuck your mum twice a day and should just 'get tae fuck' as Celtic fans say. Just fuck off this site and out of my life. [comment on this] You are the...Most retarded bag of fucking shit that I ever saw. Did you come out ya mum, ya dad or ya dog? Ya dog I think. [comment on this] High Contribs...?
Erm... mine? I thought I was pretty high contribs?
Anyway... I left you a msg on MSN cause you wanted to talk about something? ńăŧħăń - ŧĕẍŧ 13:14, 30 May 2008 (CEST)
- As I said to Goldpearl, this refers to frequency, not number, and is reset every 2 months (next reset is this June). Since I have a frequency of about 11.4 edits/day, I am the highest, and Goldpearl is second with 1.1 edits/day. You, however, have a frequency of just .11 edits/day, meaning that if you want to be a high contributor, you must step it up starting Sunday!
- Please re-address the topic that I left on your talkpage—Supuhstar*

[comment on this] Images
Yeah, can you help with getting some images for two of the latest tutes/articles. I think with some pics these could both be up to our view of 'featured standard'. ńăŧħăń - ŧăłķ 03:21, 2 June 2008 (CEST)

[comment on this] Races
I'm pleased to be a part of this group. I've already, for the most part, completely remodeled the Races page, and I've added pictures from my own game as well as off the web to help it out. I've rewritten most of the articles as well, and it makes more sense now. Please, take a look and tell me what you think.
- Little do you know, GreatGordon, that I looked at it shortly after you made it, as well as touched it up a bit. You see, in addition to being an admin here, I am THE most active member. To answer your request, I love it! That page is without a doubt one of the most neglected on the site, and you made it new again! I'll have to take that tag off! In fact, you probably would be good at fixing up those articles listed on the Main Page as being too short! On a side note, please sign your posts on talk pages with "
~~~~". That makes it much easier to tell who it's from. You can customize it in your preferences. —Supuhstar*
