[edit] About Me... Pfft

I'm the admin of Simpedia at the lowest level possible with most free servers. The reason? I saw my first computer before even the mighty Sam did, running MS-DOS in all its glory. Since then I've seen and used (as well as DOS) - in order - Acorn, Windows 3, Windows 3.1, Mac OS, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows NT, Windows NT 3, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP Pro and Windows XP Home - not including 3 different versions of Vista, and various Linux distributions. I first saw NT at school but by the time 2000 came out, our single home PC had broken down and we got a new one, with disk space not even the furthest reach of my imagination could fill. At least, that's what I thought until I filled it up. 2000 had, at least, opened up a whole raft of possibilities to me and I'd realised by then what computers could do... so when I bought my own PC running it - which can't have been more than a year later - I was thrilled to see it was at least twice as powerful, and before long I had my own, albeit small, games collection. It was on this computer I had my first encounter with The Sims, and if I hadn't discovered the power of NTL broadband I'd still be addicted to it now. Of course having discovered what NTL could do I went on to see what it often did - crash. I began to think our dial-up connection was better but then my dad signed up for a Demon ADSL which didn't. And, years after my first computer, having used it to destruction along with 3 or 4 others, I'm as addicted to them as I ever was. Although I'm considerably better at using them.

[edit] I'm good at

  • Programming - In Visual Basic, C/C++, ASP, PHP, and HTML
  • Water fights - Although I can't ever recall not ending up soaked to the skin
  • Driving games - They rock

[edit] I'm bad at

  • Swimming
  • Apologies
  • Writing letters
