User:EdK/The Pit of Doom and Damnation/S1: Advanced "Create Page" for downloads

From Simpedia

Jump to: navigation, search

I reckon instead of yes and no you should have a "Create page (beginner)" button and a "Create page (advanced)" button - or even just "Beginner" and "Advanced". Having a question just confuses the issue - it means that essentially you're using one text box to answer two questions, which is never good. Especially for people who can't multitask. And by the way, I'm editing from school, on my laptop, having successfully hacked my way through our schools badly configured wireless proxy server. How good am I. Sure... you can do it though... :P --EdK (talk) (email) 14:45, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Psst... You need to make the edit intro for the advanced one different - or else change the existing edit intro so that it applies to both. Sam "The Boss" | Talk Image:edu_languages_small.png | Email    16:42, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Current render

The current wikitext renders as

<div class="createbox" align="center">
<p><form name="createbox" action="/index.php" method="get" class="createboxForm">
<input type='hidden' name="action" value="create">
<input type="hidden" name="prefix" value="Download:" />
<input type="hidden" name="preload" value="Download:New/preload" />
<input type="hidden" name="editintro" value="Download:New/editintro" />
<input class="createboxInput" name="title" type="text" value="" size="40"/>
<input type='submit' name="create" class="createboxButton" value="Create page"/>
</p>
</form></div>

in the HTML.
