The future is here!
The Simpedia developers have disappeared, leaving the site in the more than capable hands of its volunteer administrators. But we hear a rumor from time to time of a top-secret project... Okay, who are we kidding? We're preparing the new site, in time to be unveiled with the release of The Sims 3. So where do you come in? Well, for one thing, we need you to tell us what you want from the new site - if you have any ideas, let us know at http://simpedia.co.uk/alphaforum. We're also looking for talented young PHP and Javascript coders to help out with some of our more ambitious projects - if you think you have what it takes, email me!

I won't be editing, fixing or helping out on Simpedia for a while. =(
Image bug sorted =D - posted by EdK
It appears when we got the site back online, directory and file permissions weren't retained and the MediaWiki app didn't have access to any of the upload locations. I'm not sure how the temp directory escaped this bug, but the storage and thumbnail directories are write-enabled now, and the weird error messages on image uploads/views are gone. =)
I just deleted your work - posted by EdK
I just wiped the files from the development wiki, so I could upload the update which is uploading now. However, it would appear all the data has been lost, I'll try to get it back if anyone cares that much.
New logo :D - posted by EdK
I'd like to thank Supuhstar on behalf of the entire Development team, for creating the new Simpedia logo which is now live on the site. Administrators can view other entries here, and you're all invited to design a logo, badge or anything else you fancy for Simpedia. We'll do our best to use it :)
Forums - posted by that guy...
The Forums are now up and running smoothly, and if you were considering registering on the phpBB (unlikely, I'll admit) you should be using them instead, as they're the official Simpedia forum now.
13th September - Software upgrade and bugfixes - posted by Sam
We're now running a fully featured copy of MediaWiki 1.11, as opposed to the alpha testing version we had previously. We've also fixed all the issues with images, as far as I can tell, so feel free to delete all those images it wouldn't let you delte before!
