Penguins sometimes appear during winter (if you have The Sims 2 Seasons only). They do little, just walk around in a penguinly manner. If they see a fish on the floor (i.e. as decoration, or you just forgot it there), they'll eat it. If you have put a fish on the wall, they'll exitedly jump up and down to reach it (don't worry, they will never make it). If you have a snowman built, it will try to talk to it. Penguins tend to avoid dogs, and can be chased away.
