Simpedia Userboxes have recently been given a makeover - please replace any on your userpage with the ones found below.

Many users choose to add userboxes to their user pages. These boxes are arranged in a tower-like formation to give visitors information on the user. Simpedia works using the same complex codes as Wikipedia to make userboxes. To arrange your userboxes in a tower at the right of your page, simply type "{{userboxtop}}", insert your chosen userbox codes on seperate lines, then type "|}" at the end of the list. If you think of another userbox which you would like added, feel free to request it on the discussion page.

Changing the Style of your Userboxes

You can use codes to change the color of your userboxes, though in most situations you shouldn't. There are 4 styles available currently, though more may be added for special events etc.

Default Style:

White image placeholder:

{{userbox|style=2}}

This is an example Userbox.

White text box:

{{userbox|style=3}}

This is an example Userbox.

All white:

{{userbox|style=4}}

This is an example Userbox.

Categorisation

Many userboxes will add your userpage to a category if you add |categorise to your code:

{{userbox|Sysop|categorise}}

would produce this, but also add the page to a category:

This user is a Simpedia Sysop.

Creating Custom Userboxes

It is possible to create custom userboxes - if there is something unique about you which you feel you need a userbox to say, for example if you play The Sims 2 using your toes because you have lost the use of your fingers, feel free to create a custom userbox. To create a custom userbox, use the following code:

For example;

{{userbox|This user plays '''[[The Sims 2]]''' with their toes because they have lost the use of their fingers|Toes.png}}

Would give:

This user plays The Sims 2 with their toes because they have lost the use of their fingers.

You can also categorise a custom userbox by adding the category -

Would render the following:
