The Gypsy Matchmaker is a service NPC and a Vendor NPC meaning she is a sim easy to contact and is designed to preform a service (for a fee).

The matchmaker can be befriended and married. When this occurs the matchmaker will move in with the sim, unlocking the outfit on the lot but quitting her day job.

All matchmakers look the same. They wear a very gypsy-ish looking outfit with white long curly hair tied with an orange headscarf.

Usually fiddling with a crystal ball, which she polished, glares at a uses as a mirror.
[edit] How to find her
In a new neighbourhood the matchmaker appears at the door of the first sim you play, much to everyones annoyance. She can be called as a service on the telephone. She often appears on community lots.

Looking for the perfect date- the matchmaker will make them fall down at your feel- literally. Ask the matchmaker for this service and cross her palm with silver- you decide how much. Don't be stingy though, or prince charming will become unavailable.

One of the services the matchmaker preforms is that she offers cures for several of the monster traits your sim can accuire. Unfortunatly there is no cure for being a zombie, servo (she isn't the blue fairy!), big foot or an alien.
A sim searching for a cure can talk to the matchmaker (after calling her), select the potion in question and the number wanted and hand over the fee. The potions will appear in the inventory of the sim who bought it.

The sim who has the affliction and the cure in their inventory will have the self-action 'take *potion name*' and cure themselves. It can be transfered to the inventories of other sims living on the lot, can be given as a gift with seasons and a sim can influence am afflicted sim to take the potion. This often comes up as a want for concerned sims.

A potion you can buy from the gypsy matchmaker that cures vampirism. You can also influence other vampires to drink this potion and they will turn into normal sims.

A potion you can buy from the gypsy matchmaker that cures werewolfism. You can also influence other werewolves to drink this potion and they will turn into normal sims.
