Nathan asked me to design something to enter the Simpedia download contest, so I decided to set myself the challenge of creating a house without using any custom content. The Diazo Estate is a spacious, open plan house, with balconies in abundance, even inside. It has a double garage, a pool, and party facilities on the roof.
The building is very open and has lots of large windows, which makes it very light, and the various storeys are mostly made up of balconies, so there is always a gap running all the way down the center of the house. Each floor also has an outdoor balcony, with sun loungers on each, and a barbecue. The house is perfect for entertaining, with a pool, and barbecue facilities, including plenty of tables on the roof. There's also a buffet table in the spacious kitchen/diner, and a pool table in the huge entrance hall. The numerous lounges and TVs mean there's always somewhere to sit down and relax, while still being able to see what's going on on the many levels of the house. When you first come into the house, you enter the entrance hall, where there are three sofas and a television, as well as armchairs and coffee tables. To your left is a set of steps, and several large pillars supporting the upper levels. On the raised level, at the top of the steps, is a pool table on the left, and a reading corner with bookcases and an armchair on the right. Ahead of you are more steps going down again into a corridor, which leads right, to the bathroom, or left, to the kitchen/diner, and also provides access to the two lifts. Via the lifts, you can access the study, which is above the bathroom and overlooks the entrance hall, or a small lounge with a door leading out to the balcony. Continuing up, you reach a small bedroom above the lounge, and another bathroom above the study, with the more spacious main lounge joining the two. From there, one lift stops and stairs lead up to the roof, while the other carries on to the master bedroom, a spacious balcony supported by the main pillar of the house.External Links: Download File (2.40MB) |
