[edit] Opening the Cheat Box
To open the cheat box, hold Ctrl + Alt + C.
Now that the cheat box is open you can open it further by pressing ` (console key in many games). (This is located to the left of the 1 key on most 101- and 105-key keyboards) By doing this the cheat box will stay open until you hit that key again.
All cheats with on or true in them can be turned back on/off by replacing it with off or false. (same works the other way around)

All the cheats are colour coded to help you see how dangerous or harmless the cheat is. Below is a table with the color and comment about what that colour represents. Cheats are also listed from most dangerous to least dangerous.

| AddneighbortoFamilycheat on | Adds option when you click on an NPC to add it to the household. |
| Forcetwins | With a pregnant Sim selected, using this cheat will transform the pregnancy into a twin birth. Also, eating cheesecake will give twins. |
| Sethour (0-23) | Set time of day, 24-hour style. |
| Plumbbobtoggle | Makes the overhead plumb bob invisible or visible again. |
| Pressing Ctrl + Alt whilst an object is selected | Allows you to put as many items on a wall as you want, even if they overlap. |
