Sims are now smarter than before. Each Sim has it's own Aspiration Meter which can be filled by fulfilling Wants or can drop if a Fear is fulfilled.

Sims with the Popularity aspiration desire parties and to win fights. They also want lots of friends.
[edit] Knowledge
Sims with the Knowledge Aspiration want to gain skills, be saved from death and meet aliens.
[edit] Romance
Romance Sims desire as many WooHoos, Kisses and any other romantic option as possible in their lives. They do fear getting engaged or married.
[edit] Family
Sims with the family aspiration want kids, grandchildren and getting engaged or married. They fear people dying the most.
[edit] Fortune
Sims with the fortune aspiration seek to buy the most expensive objects and getting big bonuses at work.
[edit] Pleasure
Pleasure Sims want lots of dates, to go bowling, juggle and fear embarrassment.
[edit] Grilled Cheese
This aspiration is only "Unlocked" by having a lower than gold aspiration meter while attempting to change their aspiration. These Sims want to have as many grilled cheeses as they want and fear burning them.
[edit] Grow Up
This aspiration is only available to kids, toddlers and babies. The younger Sims want help with their homework, get an A+ and to learn how to walk, talk and learn how to be potty trained.
[edit] No Aspiration
In The Sims aspiration didn't exist so Sims in The Sims didn't have aspiration.
